Best Mattress For Sleepers With Shoulder & Hip Pain
Hey everyone. Today we’re talking about the best mattresses for side sleepers that have shoulder or hip pain, or maybe both, maybe even some upper back pain. I know it sucks and we’re going to try and help you out.
We’ve got our picks of 2 mattresses. Of course we’ve tested, like, I want to say, it’s over a hundred different beds at this point. So we’ve narrowed it down to what we think is a really concise but very helpful list.
You can check out more information down below. We’ll have the full reviews for all the beds. It will probably have coupon codes for them, and other comparisons. Now let’s get to it!
Just for starters, let’s go over the policy stuff. I think this is particularly important for people that have different like pains, and aches, and ailments, because you want to get the right mattress, and you want to take the time to figure out whether or not it is indeed the right mattress.
That’s why all the mattresses we’ve selected for this list come with free shipping. But more importantly, they come with some sort of in-home test period, where you get them to your house, you get to test them out to see whether or not they help with your shoulder, your hip pain or upper back pain, something like that. And then if they don’t end up helping you, and you don’t feel any better, you can return all of them 100% free inside the test window.
So most of the time, 3 months, maybe 4 months, should be more than enough time. And then if you don’t want the bed, just get your money back. Now if you do keep them, they’ll all come with at least a 10-year warranty.
So let’s get into the list!
So Layla is interesting from a number of different angles. Firstly, it’s a double-sided bed. So you’re sort of getting two chances to get it right with one mattress. They have a soft side, which is the light gray side, and the white side that is great for deep pressure relief, usually like petite individuals or people that want a really soft bed.
We’ll try out the soft side and that’s really comfortable, unbelievably comfortable. And then the firm side. You can still feel a little bit of that signature fluffy memory foam feel, but less so because it’s a little firmer. And there’s less of it so I actually prefer the firmer side, because I will rotate between different positions.
But if you’re truly concerned with pressure relief, which you probably are, if you have hip or shoulder pain, the soft side is a really nice solution. And like I said you can just flip it right and test out both sides to see which one works for you.
Now it has that fluffy, airy quality to the memory foam, as I mentioned, so it’s not going to have that deep viscous sink in, and I can’t move around. It’s a kind of like a newer style of memory foam that we really like and it’s like a copper gel memory foam to help with temperature regulation.
So it’s a really affordable bed. We should have a discount for this guy below. It ends up, for a queen size, safely under $1000 and it also comes with a lifetime warranty.
When I think of a soft, fluffy, supportive, like pillow-top type mattress, I think of the Brentwood Home Oceano Mattress.
They make other beds too. You can check out their website. But this is their most popular and this bed is phenomenal. It has two layers of coils, which means it’s really supportive. And like Nest, it has this big fluffy pillow top, you really nestled into the mattress. It’s just the type of bed that you never want to get out of.
It comes with a 25-year warranty and a full year test window, so get it to your house. And you get to make up your mind in the first year, and if you don’t like it, you can still get your money back.
It’s just a really nice mattress. Brentwood Home has this overall branding of being an eco-friendly natural mattress company, so it has plant-based fibers and a lot of other things that are attractive to people that want a healthy mattress.
The only thing is that it’s a little bit more expensive than the other bed on this list. But when I close my eyes and I think of a super comfy pillow top mattress, I think of Brentwood Home Oceano. And I think it’d be great for people that need pressure relief but still need support. Anh if you find the price of this one a bit too high you might want to check out the Brentwood Home Cypress – a slightly worse alternative to the Oceano luxury line.
So that’s our picks! Let us know what you think! Hopefully it was helpful. I’ll see you next time!
