Best Hybrid & Innerspring Mattress 2024 (TOP 7 BEDS)

Best Hybrid & Innerspring Mattresses 2020 (TOP 7 BEDS)

What’s up guys. Today we’re back at it again with another best mattress list. We’re talking about the best hybrid inner spring coil mattresses out there.

We did a post last year, and to be honest with you there are about thirty thirty-five inner spring hybrid beds that we hold in really high regard. So creating this list I cannot tell you how difficult it was. We’ve had several internal discussions and arguments about who should make the list. It was really really difficult to narrow it down to just 7 beds with that in mind though I’m going to try and go through the post a little bit quicker because we do have many beds.

I think if you pick any of these 7 you know what you’re getting into you’re gonna be really happy and you know because I’ll be going little bit faster our full reviews are in our website . There’s a ton of stuff in the site that you should check out.

If you have any input for us you can put that down below in the comment section, and give us a big ol’ thumbs up if you enjoyed the post and got the right bed for you. Let’s get to it!

Alright before I dig into the list, I should say that all of these beds are online mattresses. Some of them you can buy in store, but most of them, the vast majority you will be buying online and they will come with free shipping, whether it’s White Glove delivery or just standard Benda box free shipping, they’ll come with a trial period.

Most of them, if not all of them, will have 100% free returns inside the trial period, and then they’ll come with at least a 10-year warranty, so regardless of which bed you get you know that: (A) you’re getting good bed, and (B) you’re at least a little bit protected if you don’t end up loving the mattress.

So now that you know that, let’s talk about all of the beds in no particular order!

Brooklyn Signature – Best Innerspring mattress

Let’s start off with what we would consider like the best value the for the money picked and this is the Brooklyn Bedding Signature.

Now if you’ve seen any of our other posts you can tell that look we hold this bed in in super high regard. It’s very affordable. It’s priced below $1,000 for a queen-size bed, especially if you use a coupon. We should have coupons for most of these beds down below in the link to save you some money, so check that out.

Brooklyn Bedding Signature – it’s a hybrid bed with pocketed coils comes in three different firmness levels overall. It has more of a neutral type feel to it. It doesn’t feel like memory foam, but it’s really comfortable because they offer three different firms levels. It’ll be able to accommodate all sleeping positions. And we just think it is a phenomenal value the fact that you’re getting a hybrid bed from a reputable brand that actually manufactures their own beds in the United States for under $1,000 for a queen-size. It’s just going to be hard to beat that. So we really like the Brooklyn Bedding Signature.

New Purple – Best Innerspring mattress

Next up is our hot-sleepers pick! And if you’ve watched any of our posts you know it’s going to be Purple. It’s going to be one of the purple mattresses. We’re mostly talking about the New Purple mattresses which are purple 2, 3 and 4. And we’ve done probably 30 posts with purple and so if you need any more information about purple, there’s a ton of stuff in our page.

The headline news about Purple is that they incorporate a new type of material as their top layers and it works it’s really comfortable. It’s like a gel-like substance that not only is soft and firm at the same time. Even though that seems like a total contradiction but somehow it works.

But also it’s great for hot sleepers because it allows for tons of airflow. So if you sweat in the middle of the night, about you know 20% of people, this bed is going to do a great job of helping you to sleep more neutral because it’s not an active cooling bed. There’s nothing cool to the touch but it allows for a ton of airflow to where the air is not going to heat up the hyper-elastic polymer, the material itself isn’t goanna heat up. And so overall, it’s going to sleep more neutral than pretty much any other bed out there.

We really like purple we’ve got a number of the guys on our team that sleep on a purple mattress. It’s not for everybody because it’s so unique that some people just fall in love with it right away. And a hundred people just say “I don’t know, it’s just a little too unique”. So you can check out more stuff about purple in the link.

DreamCloud – Best Innerspring mattress

Our firm pick is DreamCloud! So DreamCloud only uses micro coils but it’s still a very supportive bed. It has multiple layers of memory foam and has latex foam. It has a giant pillow top that has a cashmere cover. I mean it’s a really really nice bed. In fact I was telling the guys on our team that like I think DreamCloud actually is possibly an underrated bed, especially if you want a little bit of a firmer mattress. It starts out at about a medium firm it will soften as you use it.

But if there’s anybody that’s a strict back/stomach sleeper, a combination sleeper, DreamCloud is a very very very nice bed cells and an approachable price point. They often offer discounts we probably have one down below. It’s a firm inner spring bed that is really nice and if you just take one look at the cover and you think you could kind of like the ridges on it.

Let me tell you it’s really nice. I used to not love it, but as I’ve had more time with this bed, I just have to say it’s really nice. Actually Dillon on our team, he slept on DreamCloud for like 9 months and I think he’s going back to it now. That’s how much he liked it!

Nest Alexander Hybrid – Best Innerspring mattress

And then we have our side-sleeper pick. This was a no-brainer. This is the Nest Alexander hybrid mattress.

It actually got a little bit better now in 2019. They offer like fused models where you can get one side that’s softer and one side that’s firmer on the same mattress but with regard to side sleepers – people don’t want a soft mattress look.

It’s a supportive bed with a giant pillow top on top. It’s super comfortable. It feels like you’re sleeping on top of like a big pillow. I would say this is a universally comfortable mattress. I don’t think there’s hardly anybody I’ve met that doesn’t like a Nest Alexander hybrid.

They offer the three different firmness levels. I think the medium is probably going to be the more popular one. It’s going to be great for side sleepers because it’s kind of fluffy and soft and pillowy, and the bed comes with a lifetime warranty and it’s still pretty dang affordable – just over a thousand dollars if you get a coupon, and there’s definitely one down below.

Tomorrow Sleep Hybrid – Best Innerspring mattress

Our memory foam pick – this was an easy one. This is the Tomorrow Sleep hybrid so we love this bed it’s actually backed by Syrtis Simmons – one of the largest bedding manufacturers in the world.

It comes in two different framers levels – medium soft for side sleepers, medium firm for all sleepers. It has coils on the bottom obviously because it’s an innerspring or hybrid or coil bed and then it has several layers of memory foam.

As you transition up and it’s kind of like a new-age feel for a memory foam. It doesn’t have that deep viscous stuck feeling. It still will conform to your body. You still will get great pressure relief. It’ll still be pretty supportive, but it tends to bounce back maybe a little bit faster and feels maybe a little bit fluffier than your older 1990s memory foam.

I’d say if you like memory foam, you want a coil bed because you know they’re they tend to be more supportive. The Tomorrow Sleep memory film hybrid is an awesome pickup, and if you don’t happen to like it you have a full year to try out the bed before you have to return it.

Ghostbed Flex – Best Innerspring mattress

Now we have a selection that we’re calling “our new comer” and that is the Ghostbed Flex mattress. It’s kind of like Bear Hybrid, it doesn’t win in any particular category, but it would be second, third, or fourth place and a lot of these it’s the best bed that Ghostbed makes.

It’s a coil mattress, so obviously it transitions up to a number of comfort layers. It’s really comfortable, has like an active cooling cover, sits it about a true medium, and should be able to accommodate all sleeping positions.

I just think it’s so comfortable that this was another bed that I personally would feel a little wrong if we left off the list right now. It’s just a really nice bed. They offer discounts all the time I think $200 , $225 off or something like that. You can check it in the link.

Allswell – Best Innerspring mattress

Now if you need a cheap hybrid mattress the best option is Allswell. That’s why I have Allswell in the post right because Allswell is unbelievably affordable for what you’re getting.

It’s made in the United States. It is again a coil mattress which is really rare to see an affordable coil mattress. The MSRP for a queen size bed is under $500. Let me let that sink in for a second. 500 bucks. I think it’s actually well under $500, super affordable, still offers the trial period, still offers all the bells and whistles of an online mattress.

It only comes in one firmness level. It’s about a medium firm, more of a neutral feel, even though it does use memory foam. It’s the best cheap hybrid mattress money can buy right now. I mean we’ve been astounded by Allswell, in fact, although it’s going to end up on way more of our list this year than we ever had thought because of the value of the bed. That’s a great pickup!

So that’s the list! You know, again, creating a 10-bed list was really difficult. We spend hours and hours discussing which beds belonged on this list, and my hope is that it was helpful for you.

If you appreciate all the work we put in, give us a thumbs up.

I’ll see you in the next post!
